Privacy
This is a personal portfolio. I am Aidan Henderson Stewart, in Glasgow. I decide how this site uses your information. Email aidanhstewart@gmail.com if you have a question.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. To deliver pages they process technical data such as IP address and browser details. That is needed to run the site, including HTTPS and security. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
Analytics
I use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are visited, roughly where traffic comes from, and what kind of device people use. I rely on legitimate interests for that: understanding whether the portfolio is useful, without advertising or selling data.
It does not set cookies and does not follow you across other websites. Vercel hashes the request so a visit is not stored as your name or IP. A session hash is discarded after 24 hours. I only see totals, not a profile of you.
Each page view can include the page path, a filtered referrer, country or region, device type, operating system, and browser. Query strings are stripped before anything is sent. Details are in Vercel’s analytics privacy notes.
Analytics is on in this browser. That only affects this device.
On your device
The light or dark theme is saved in local storage if you use the toggle. That stays on this device and is not sent to me. If you turn analytics off, that choice is also saved in local storage on this browser only.
Email and files
If you email me, I keep whatever you send so I can reply. The CV is a public file on this site. Links to GitHub go to GitHub, which has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what data I hold, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. You can also object to analytics. Email aidanhstewart@gmail.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
